Federica Fazio

Biography

Federica Fazio is a Ph.D. Candidate in the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University. She holds a Master of Science in Politics and Government in the European Union from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) and a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Naples Federico II.

In 2024, Federica was awarded the Paddy Moriarty Memorial Scholarship for the School of Law and Government. Until 2023, she was a Visiting Fellow at the University of South Wales’ International Centre for Policing and Security. Previously, she worked in Brussels, first with the European Parliament’s Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union (DG EXPO), and then at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) Brussels Liaison Office. Her work has been published by Springer Nature, the Journal of European and American Intelligence Studies, the Atlantic Council, Fair Observer, the Aspen Institute Italia, the NATO Association of Canada, and the Italian Institute of Strategic Studies Niccolò Machiavelli.

Her research interests include European and transatlantic security and defense, EU and US foreign policy, counterterrorism, international law and international relations.
