New Research Handbook edited by Federico Fabbrini & Christy Ann Petit published

We are delighted to announce the achievement of a key milestone for the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence REBUILD: the publication of the Research Handbook on Post-Pandemic EU Economic Governance and NGEU Law by Elgar Publishing.

The handbook was co-edited by Prof Federico Fabbrini, Full Professor of EU Law, School of Law and Government, Dublin City University, Ireland, Founding Director of the Brexit Institute and Dublin European Law Institute, and PI of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence REBUILD and Dr Christy Ann Petit, Assistant Professor of Law and EU Banking and Finance Law, School of Law and Government, Dublin City University, Ireland and Deputy Director of the Brexit Institute.

The Research Handbook constitutes the flagship scientific output of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence REBUILD (“Recovery of Europe, Budget of the Union: Integration, Law & Democracy“) funded by the EU and hosted at the DCU Brexit Institute. It includes 22 chapters authored by two dozen leading legal scholars, political scientists and economists from across the EU, represents the most comprehensive publication to date about the Next Generation EU Recovery Plan, and the post-pandemic EU architecture of economic governance, including the new Stability & Growth Pact. As such, the book provides an in-depth academic assessment of how Europe’s economic, monetary, and financial union have changed in recent years, and valuable guidance for policy makers on how to address key fiscal challenges, including those connected to the war in Ukraine and the future of European competitiveness.

The book is available for purchase in print and as an e-book. So we sincerely hope it will be of interest for you, and we kindly ask you to share the news among your contacts, including your University libraries.
