DCU Brexit Institute and DELI hosted a keynote by Judge Lars Bay Larsen, VP, ECJ

On 10 September 2024, the DCU Brexit Institute and Dublin European Law Institute (DELI) hosted the Horizon Europe REGROUP and Jean Monnet Post Brexit Law module event on ‘Legal & Constitutional Perspectives on the Covid-19 Pandemic’ featuring a keynote speech by Judge Lars Bay Larsen (Vice President of the European Court of Justice). We also heard from an academic panel, including Dr. Pier Domenico Tortola, Dr. Niels Kirst, and Dr. Wojciech Burek, moderated by our Head of School, Dr. Tanya Ni Mhuirthile. The discussion provided an opportunity to delve into the REGROUP project’s findings and explore critical questions and reflections on the pandemic such as:

How can we restructure post-pandemic governance?
What lessons have we learned?
How has the EU performed in this context?
How can we apply these lessons moving forward?

It was great to see so many enthusiastic students actively engaging in the discussion! Stay updated with the latest news and future events by following Dublin European Law Institute (DELI)/DCU Brexit Institute on Linkedin and on X.
