Financial Services After Brexit

On Thursday 2 December 2021, the DCU Brexit Institute held an event entitled “Financial Services after Brexit”. The event focussed on the impact of Brexit on both the future of the city of London and the EU plans for the development of a capital markets union — and was generously sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland.

The event was opened by Lord Jonathan Hill (former European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, and recently chairman of the UK Listing Review).

It featured a panel of experts, moderated by John Peet (Editor at The Economist) including Tom Hall (Manager at AIB), Deborah Hutton (Partner at Eversheds Sutherlands), Valerio Scollo (Partner at GSK Stockmann Luxembourg) and Christy Ann Petit (Assistant Professor of EU Banking Law).
