On 12th December 2019 the Brexit Institute hosted an event on ‘Brexit and the New EU Institutional Cycle’

The event was organized in partnership with the Italian – German Centre for European Excellence at Villa Vigoni, and with the support of the European Parliament information office to Ireland — and featured a keynote speech by Dr. Hans–Gert Pöttering (former President of the European Parliament), as well as a panel chaired by Gráinne Ní Aodha (The Journal) and including Dr. Veronica Corcodel (DCU), Amb. Michele Valensise (President of the Italian-German Centre of European Excellence and Former Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ), James Temple Smithson (Head of the European Parliament Information Office in Ireland) and Prof. Joachim Fischer (University of Limerick).
