Brexit Institute and GSK Stockmann announce partnership

GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg  and DCU Brexit Institute announce a partnership which will see GSK Stockmann become a new sponsor of the Institute. GSK Stockmann will support the core activities of the Brexit Institute, including its research and policy work on the relations between the EU and the UK post withdrawal and the future of Europe more generally.

The DCU Brexit Institute is Ireland’s only and Europe’s first centre created to analyse Brexit from a research and a policy perspective, and in recent years has increasingly pivoted its work on European affairs, including by leading major projects on the future of Europe funded by the European Commission and the German Ministry of Education and Research.

GSK Stockmann is a leading European law firm with offices in Germany and Luxembourg. Since its opening in 2016, the Luxembourg office of GSK Stockmann has grown significantly. With Luxembourg being situated at the heart of Europe and being the home of numerous EU institutions, GSK Stockmann is the trusted advisor of leading financial institutions, asset managers, private equity houses, insurance companies, corporates and FinTech companies, with both a local and international reach.

DCU President Professor Daire Keogh welcomed the partnership with GSK Stockmannas an affirmation of the achievement and ambition of the DCU Brexit Institute. It is a tangible reflection of the international character of the Institute and its contribution, through engagement and scholarship, to the analysis of post-Brexit Europe.”

“The multi-annual partnership with GSK Stockmann, which builds on prior opportunities of cooperation and a solid relation of trust, is a confirmation of the growing role played by the Brexit Institute as a European hub for research and policy on EU affairs post-Brexit”, comments Federico Fabbrini, Professor of European Law & Founding Director of the Brexit Institute.

“GSK Stockmann is delighted about the partnership agreement with the DCU Brexit Institute which matches with our working approach as well as the international profile of our law firm”, says Andreas Heinzmann, Partner at GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg. “Situated in the centre of Europe, GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg is ideally positioned to support the activities of the Brexit Institute. The partnership will provide deeper insights in relation to the future of the European Union”, adds Dr. Marcus Peter, Partner at GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg.”
