Brexit, the Backstop and the Island of Ireland

On December the 13th, the DCU Brexit Institute hosted an event on ‘Brexit, the Backstop and the Island of Ireland’.

The event featured an opening keynote from John Bruton (Former Taoiseach of Ireland).

This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Sorcha Eastwood (Alliance Party), Bobby McDonagh (DFA) Chloe Papazian (DCU) and Owen Reidy (ICTU). The panel was chaired by Fintan O’Toole (The Irish Times).

The closing plenary was provided by Giuliano Amato (Former Prime Minister of Italy; former Vice President of European Convention; Justice of the Italian Constitutional Court).

The event was held in the Helix, DCU.
